Frequently Asked Questions

What type of pieces can be framed?

We frame paintings, prints, giclee, posters, photographs, certificates, maps, mirrors, textiles, and more. We work with family heirlooms, such as old bibles, jewelry, coins, military and police medals. We create shadowboxes of Jerseys and other memorabilia. We also provide floater frames for canvases.

What types of pieces can you restore?

We restore multiple medias including oil, acrylic, pastel,  watercolor,  pencil. We also restore antique and damaged frames.  All photography work is outsourced to a colleague.

What restoration services do you offer?

We can treat water damage, mold damage, smoke damage, and tears, making your pieces look like brand new.  Restoration services may include cleaning, structural repairs, and inpainting.

Do you use archival or museum-quality materials?

We use materials designed to protect artwork from acid damage, UV exposure, moisture, and discoloration. We only carry quality wood frames and do not use plastics.

How long does custom framing or restoration take?

The turn-around time for a custom frame is 2 weeks. Any restoration work depends largely on the type and amount of damage, ranging anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

Is my artwork safe during restoration or framing?

We handle every piece with care using protective materials appropriate for fine art and heirloom items.

Do you offer consultations?

Everyone is welcome to stop by the shop for an in-person consultation, offering advice for framing styles, restoration options, materials, and pricing.

How do I request a quote?

You can request a quote by filling out our contact form and uploading photos of your piece. Please include dimensions, condition details, and the type of framing or restoration service you are interested in.

How much does custom framing cost?

Our price is different for every piece as it is based on the size and length of material needed for each project. But, we also maintain a full stock of ready made frames at a lower price point.
